BuiltForProd by Nexstella
A Kubernetes platform delivered, not assembled
A production Kubernetes platform for a web application covers the cluster, the edge, releases, configuration and data, all hardened and reviewed together. BuiltForProd deploys one as a reference architecture onto a cloud foundation you own.
01 Outcomes
What changes for you
-
One path from commit to production
An image is built once, scanned and promoted from dev to staging to production, so what runs for customers is exactly the artifact your team tested.
-
A cluster that is hardened from the start
Network policies deny by default, containers run without root, and each workload gets its own role, so a weak service cannot wander across the cluster.
-
A clear path for your own services
A working reference service shows the whole path on the first day, and a step-by-step guide covers moving your own services onto the platform the same way.
Reference architecture
Click through the layers of the platform
The reference architecture is a stack of layers, each with a job. Choose a layer to see what it runs and why it is there. The parts below are the ones the blueprint deploys.
-
Edge CloudFrontAWS WAFLoad balancer
Edge
Requests arrive over HTTPS only, pass a web application firewall and reach the cluster through a managed load balancer. The front end is served from a private bucket behind the CDN.
-
Compute Amazon EKSKarpenter
Compute
A managed Kubernetes cluster with a private endpoint. Capacity is added just in time when load rises and released when it falls, so nobody resizes servers by hand.
-
Delivery Argo CDHelmAmazon ECR
Delivery
GitOps keeps the cluster in line with a repository. Images carry immutable tags, and production changes need an approval and a deliberate sync by named reviewers.
-
Configuration External SecretsParameter Store
Configuration
Credentials and settings are pulled from a parameter store at runtime, so no secret is written into the chart, the repository or the container image.
-
Data DocumentDBElastiCache
Data
A managed document database for the application and a managed cache for sessions, both inside the private network and encrypted at rest and in transit.

02 How it starts
How it starts
-
A 30-minute call about your application
Bring how the application is built, how it ships today and where it runs. The engineer checks whether the blueprint fits and what it needs from a cloud foundation.
-
A foundation first, if you need one
The blueprint is deployed into the workload accounts of a BuiltForProd Baseline. If you do not have one yet, both are scoped together at a fixed fee.
-
Deploy, release and hand over
Engineers deploy the platform, take a release through every stage with your team and hand over the infrastructure, application and GitOps repositories.
-
Move your own services across
With the guides in hand, your team adds its own services the way the reference one was added, and the handover session walks through that first move with the people who will repeat it.
03 Book a call
See whether the platform fits your application
Book a call with BuiltForProd. Describe your application and how it ships today, and an engineer will set out what the platform needs and what comes first.
