BuiltForProd by Nexstella
Make production repeatable, not heroic
Production-ready infrastructure is built from code, watched, recoverable and run by more than one person. BuiltForProd, Nexstella's production engineering brand, gets you there in order: an assessment, a foundation in your accounts, reference architectures, then engineers to run it.
Start where you are, stop when it is enough

What changes for you
-
Releases stop depending on one person
A change reaches production through a pipeline and a review, so a launch no longer has to wait for the one engineer who remembers which buttons to press, in what order, and what to check afterward.
-
You can rebuild what you run
Accounts, networks and access are written as infrastructure code, so a broken environment is recreated from the repository instead of pieced together from memory, chat threads and old screenshots.
-
Every step leaves something you keep
Written findings, a deployed foundation, a running platform: each stage ends with work that stays yours, and you decide whether the next stage is worth doing or your team takes it from there.
The BuiltForProd path
Four steps from where you are to steady production
BuiltForProd offers four steps that build on each other. Move along the path to see what each one gives you and where to read more. You can start with the assessment, or begin with the foundation if you already know you need it.
-
Assessment
A written review of architecture, security and access, infrastructure code, CI/CD, reliability and ownership, and audit readiness, with prioritized findings and a phased plan.

Baseline
A multi-account cloud foundation in OpenTofu and Terragrunt, deployed into your own accounts by BuiltForProd engineers and handed over with the repositories.

Blueprints
Reference architectures that run on a Baseline: a web application platform, a data and ETL platform, and secrets management that keeps production values out of reach.

Managed
Production engineers who operate, secure, upgrade and extend the platform through your own single sign-on, pull requests and pipelines.

02 How it starts
How it starts
-
A 30-minute call with an engineer
You describe the product, the cloud it runs on and what worries you about the next year. The engineer suggests where on the path to begin, or tells you if it is not a fit.
-
A written scope and a fixed fee
Each step is scoped in writing and quoted at a fixed fee before work begins, so you know what the step costs and what it delivers before you commit to it.
-
Work done in your accounts
Engineers deploy into your own cloud accounts and repositories, verify the result against agreed checks and hand over the code, the documentation and the reasons behind each decision.
-
A decision before the next step
When a step ends you review what changed with the engineers. Going further is a separate choice, and running the foundation yourselves after handover is a normal place to stop.
03 Book a call
Find your starting point on the path
Book a call with BuiltForProd. Talk an engineer through your cloud and your team, and hear which step comes first, what it would cover and what your team would prepare.
